Miranda and Matthew intentionally planned a no-fuss approach to their microwedding, and trusted the details to be curated by Forest & Flowers Retreat in Portersville, Pennsylvania. They encouraged the natural beauty of the woodland backdrop to offer a simple but beautiful experience for their friends and family.
Guests were welcomed into the Garden Room, a space that pairs rustic charm with nature through an indoor-outdoor flow through the cedar carriage doors. Handcrafted wooden tables with hairpin metal legs, black metal chairs and wood benches, reclaimed ceiling beams, basket lighting, and cascading hanging ferns completed the simple, modern, and natural aesthetic.
Garden style florals for the bride’s bouquet, groom’s boutonniere, bud vases for reception tables, and ceremony flowers were an August-inspired color palette. All florals for the event were organically grown at Forest & Flowers Retreat in Pennsylvania. Guests enjoyed a dinner reception with a beautifully designed grazing table by Nosh & Curd, followed by cupcakes and a wedding cake laced with flowers from the property’s gardens.
