I was looking for an escape from the city and in need of quiet time. The house is just lovely, from the comfortable bedding/linens to the relaxing aromatherapy lotions (rose hand lotion and lavender pillow sprays), meditation space in the living room with cushions and song bowl included, were some of the highlights for setting the mood for relaxation.
All the amenities you need in the kitchen for cooking and just loved the locally sourced items, we used the balsamic vinegar and oil for our salads and it was delicious… We look forward to returning where can stay longer and take advantage of more site seeing and relaxing at the Forest & Flowers Retreat House!

What a wonderful house! As pictured, but better. The design is strikingly beautiful and really helps everyone to relax and feel at peace. Thoughtful touches in every room, like handcrafted benches and tables that we will try to get for our home. We’re not normally big on tea, but this tea was really good! The outdoor spaces were perfect for our kids to play and explore. Two state parks just 10 minutes away: one with a dramatic rushing river/stream and terrific walks, the other a calmer with a lake, canoeing, and beach. Special trip, highly recommended.

The Forest and Flowers Retreat is an amazing place to relax and enjoy nature. This property exceeded our expectations by far. There are several trails in the surrounding hardwood forests that you can explore at your leisure, and the house itself is so peaceful and cozy. We all slept so comfortably, and we really enjoyed drinking the Leaf and Twig tea and eating the homemade granola that the host left for us! We only wish we could have stayed longer! We hope to stay again someday!

“This was exactly the perfect place for me. Words can not adequately describe what a special and unique retreat this is. The physical beauty, peacefulness and healing I found during my stay is an experience I will hold forever in my heart. The hosts have anticipated the needs of their visitors, even supplying a whole array of organic cooking spices. The kitchen is fully equipped. There are several areas in and out of the house that are conducive to reading, relaxing, resting, meditating and contemplating. The surrounding areas are well worth exploring and offer an array of outdoor activities. I would whole heartedly recommend this magical property especially if you are in need of relaxing, restoring, or reconnecting with yourself and or others.” -Kathryn
